Trina entered a painting in the Fondation René Touraine’s Rare Skin Diseases Network art contest
The contest is run to raise public awareness of rare skin diseases, allowing patients to express themselves and encourage discussion. The art contest is an international event. Each year, different themes related to skin and rare diseases are chosen. The theme chosen for the 2024 year "My skin and you"!
Trina got to work on a painting she designed and painted on canvas using acrylics.

Here is the explanation to my painting:
"This lady is longing for a life without pain & discomfort from a condition she wish she didn't have. This painting shows sadness & struggle as the disease on her skin is up front & centre. Where joy & a sense of freedom is but a memory, set aside.
